Mandrake fruit

Mandragora officinalis

1 1⁄4 oz.

Saffron

Crocus sativus

Camomile

Matricaria recutita

Dill seed

Anethum graveolens

1 1⁄2 drams ea.

Aloeswood

Aquillaria agallocha

1 dram

Sugar

Saccharum

12 oz.

Honey of Violet

Mel Violatum

6 oz.

Preparation:

Gently heat the Sugar and Honey together with a little Water of Water Lilly until it has thickened, then when almost cold, mix the rest in fine powder

Function:

Clears Heat, eases Pain, promotes Rest

Use:

1. Insomnia from Heat
2. Frantic people with Restlessness and Insomnia

Dose:

2 drams1⁄2 oz. It may also be applied externally to the temples, forehead, under the nose and on the pulses.

Cautions:

Avoid overdose.
