Preparation:
Form Pills
Each medicine is recommended to be prepared as follows:
1. Betel nut: in the fall for three days soak in strong chang (Barley alcohol) or in the summer for three days soak in the decoction of ‘bras-bu-gsum’ (Three Bras: Caesalpinia, Schisandra, Mango kernel)
2. Pomegranate: in the summer soak for three days in the milk of a red cow,
3. Cinnamon: in the summer soak in the milk of a white goat for three days
4. Cardamon: in the fall for three days soak in the decoction of Mucuna and Long Pepper; in the winter soak in mutton broth for three days; or else soak in alcohol
5. Long Pepper is soaked in oil
6. Galangal: in winter soak in ghee for three days, or in Kidney broth and oil
7. Sal ammoniac should be soaked in a decoction of Picrorhiza and Safflower (5 grams each), and then dried
If prepared as directed, the effect is said to be greatly enhanced.

Warms and strengthens the Kidneys, Astringes
Use:
“treats cold diseases in the Kidneys and strengthens the body”.
1. Seminal Emissions
2. Swelling of the Testicles
3. Cold and Wind affecting the Kidneys
4. Loss of Kidney heat
5. Kidney weakness
6. Weakness or pain of the Spine
7. Lower back and waist Pain
8. Dribbling Urine
9. Tinnitus
Dose:
2–3 grams with warm water.
Cautions:
Not used for Heat or Bile conditions
